Anacaris is a very hardy and fast growing stem plant
It can do well in most light intensities, water PH, and hardness, making it an ideal beginner plant. Anacaris does best when rooted, but can also be grown floating. It grows from the tips of the stem and from buds that fork from the main stem. Stems may be trimmed and replanted to propigate.
Anacaris works well to reduce nitrates in the aquarium due to its fast growth.
Like other fast growing plants, if nutrient levels get to low it may begin to die back. Additional fertilizer may be neccesary in low nutrient tanks.
This plant grows as tall as you let it, so it is best used as a background plant.
Sold in bunches of 4 to 6 stems. One bunch is enough to plant about nine square inches of tank space.
