Red Watermilfoil is a moderately hardy and beautiful stem plant.
It does well in medium to high Lighting, pH of 6.8-7.8 and moderate hardness. It has beautiful orange to red foliage under higher light intensities. It should be well rooted and provided ample nutrients to the roots. It grows long thick stems, and forms branches off from the main stem frequently. Stems or branches may be trimmed and replanted to propagate it.
Red Watermilfoil is known for its red and orange colors, and the airy and fluffy foliage.
Under Ideal conditions it is a fast-growing plant; Additional root fertilizer may be necessary in tanks with older or inert substrate.
This plant will grow tall. It is best used as a background plant.
Sold in bunches of 4 to 6 stems. One bunch is enough to plant about nine square inches of tank space.
